Whaling in the Faroe Islands

Here's an article for you I've seen flying around Facebook recently. I've also re-posted this to my Facebook page, ORRCA.
Warning: The pictures contain a LOT of death and blood.
In the Faroe Islands of Denmark, once a year and every year, the sea is stained red. Not because of the strange ways of nature, but because of the stupid ways of human beings. Killing Calderon dolphins. The main reason, you ask? The participants are teens and adults, and they're basically showing off their power and to show that they're fully an adult. But if you ask me, they act more like immature children: Knowing something is wrong, yet not caring. Yes, I'm aware this is coming from a 13 year old. My main complaint and point here: This is animal cruelty. The animals come because of simple curiosity. It's in the nature to investigate something odd. In this case, a gathering of humans to murder Calderon dolphins in an inhumane way. VERY inhumane. You see, these poor creatures don't die instantly. Instead, they are given 1 to 3 deep cuts from hooks that force them to see their last painful moments in their own blood. Each death is both inhumane and dangerous to their population. Like a lot of other species of animals, they are endangered/close to being endangered, and should be protected from harm like this. At the same time of the murder, the dolphins will emit a grim cry like the ones of a newborn child as it dies for no fair reason, in the joy of humans. A plaything, really. My question to the people participating and/or watching? What do you see in this? What sick part of your pathetic mind compels you to enjoy this? I do hope your wallowing in your own guilt in the moment you read this and see what you've done to a creature that doesn't deserve to die. Once you read this, can you send this out to other people you know? Emails, Facebook, perhaps even your own blog? I want everyone to know, everyone to realize that animal cruelty is very wrong.

This is where I got my information from, along with the pictures.
